Our Medical Scribe Professional Program for Wisconsin Students is a comprehensive online training course that is designed to train the individual in the field of medical scribing.

The Medical Scribe program prepares students to perform specific entry-level skills and verify knowledge required for the occupation, to include the following: The Medical Scribe collects information gathered at point-of-care under the direction of a licensed provider, and inputs data to create and maintain comprehensive and accurate electronic health records for the benefit of clinicians, healthcare staff, and patients. Medical Scribe employees are trained primarily to work in doctors’ offices and other ambulatory care clinics, or inpatient facilities as an integral member of the allied health care delivery team to assist in real-time clinical documentation. The Medical Scribe Program, a Competency Based Education training program, will provide students with the necessary knowledge and skills to competently perform the duties of a medical scribe as defined by local and national standards.
